Suspended in Time celebrates a unique and magical venue “The Mad Hatter Tea Room Margate” where it is always Christmas. Established in Margate for 20 years it closed in 2017. This gentle performance cherishes a unique slice of Margate’s identity before the winds of change, commerce and property investment sweep across the town.
Three shape-shifting muses, all with different guises, plead with the gods to keep things just as they are... a huge celebration of kitsch, cake, wine and madness that would make the Bacchae proud. This piece combines film projection, performance and interactions brought to you by the artists that brought you “Mar-Xana-Dreamland-u-gate”.
