In Search of Xanadu
A Site Specific Dance & Theatre Show

“All I want is now! And now is all we have”
First pilot performance shown as part of Margate Festival ‘Now’ 2018

In Search of Xanadu takes the cult Olivia Newton-John film as a starting point and re-imagines the kitsch classic in an imaginative site. It draws on the last 200 years of Margate’s rich and eccentric heritage, via the collection of local memories and historical research.
The audience are taken on a trip through nightclubs and dance via a promenade, site specific show combined with community participation.

In Search of Xanadu is available to tour and to be adapted to other towns with an exciting history…
